John Bruckmann and Dave Martinson make a formidable team in the Hunter 19 fleet. Both hold North–Vaal and National colours and since 2004 they have won the Hunter Nationals 4 times and have not been out of the top 4 placings. To add to this they have had a spread of provincial wins between KZN and the North Vaal championships. They are undoubtedly the most successful team in Hunters in recent years.

Dave and John are one of the heavier teams weighing in at around the 200kgs, they each own their own Hunter and their successes have been achieved on either of the two boats.

John and Dave have had successes together in other one design classes including J22s and L26s.

teve has many years sailing experience, having sailed and performed well in various classes, including sailing in world championships in the 505 and Flying 15 classes. Steve finished 2nd in the Soling class Nationals and has won provincial championships in the laser, Flying 15 and Halcat class and more recently the Halcat Nationals. Steve’s instant affinity for the boats and his quick path to success in the Halcat make him the right guy to represent Team Quantum in this class.

David started sailing competitively at age 11 in the Optimist class. Divided represented South Africa at the Africans in Tanzania but soon moved out of the class because of his height and weight. Davids list of achievements is as follows:
